a good question. 2ndSite is a free service for the
majority of 2ndSite users, but 2ndSite does have
many paying clients who pay fees as outlined here in pricing.
As well, 2ndSite does generate some revenue
from its free/standard editions. For those organizations
who receive payments using 2ndSite, payment solutions partners
PayPal, VeriSign, Electracash and others, pay
2ndSite approximately $0.10 cents per transaction.
2ndSite encourages free/standard edition users to
use the referral links provided when signing up. No additional fees are incurred
for using the partner referral
links, but these links will identify 2ndSite
users as 2ndSite users, and accordingly 2ndSite
will earn $0.10 per transaction. By using these links
2ndSite users give back to the 2ndSite community
and help to finance the on going development of
2ndSite.
