Preferences
To edit preferences for your invoices tab:
- Click your "Invoices" tab.
- Click your white "Preferences" link located near the top of your page.
- From here you can:
- toggle whether or not invoice notifications sent to clients include a direct link to your invoice by clicking your check box labelled "Direct Invoice Link"
- toggle whether or not invoice notifications for recurring invoices are sent automatically when a new invoice is created by clicking your check box labelled "Recurring Invoices"
- toggle whether or not staff are allowed to send invoice notifications by clicking your check box labelled "Staff Permissions"
- toggle whether or not clients are allowed to dispute invoices by clicking your check box labelled "Disputing Invoices"
- toggle whether or not a client's account credit is automatically applied to a recurring invoice (if it is NOT auto-billed).
- enter the number of lines that all your new invoices will start with in the field labelled "Line Items"
- enter the number that the next invoice should start at by entering your number in your field labelled "Next Invoice Number"
- enter optional text that will appear below your logo on your invoices in the field labelled "Optional Text Below Logo"
- enter the default terms of sales that appear automatically on your invoices in the field labelled "Default Terms of Agreement". You can also edit these terms when you create your invoice
- Customize Tax Details
- name: This is the name of that tax that will appear on your invoices.
- percent: The value you enter in the text box labelled "Percent" is the percentage value of the subtotal on an invoice that will be added to get the total. For example, if you enter 5, then that tax will be 5% of the subtotal, or the subtotal multiplied by 0.05.
- tax number: This is used for tax systems that require the business to print a business tax number beside the tax amount for tracking purposes. To enter a number to be associated with a specific tax, enter the number in your text box labelled "Number" on the line with the tax for which you want to add the number.
- Click your Save button at the bottom of your page to finish or click your Restore Defaults button to change all values back to their defaults.
