Notifying the Client

You need to send the invoice to a client before they can view it or pay it. To do this:

  1. Click your "Invoices" tab. 
  2. Click on your "List of invoices" link at the top of your page. This will display a list of invoices. 
  3. Find the invoice that your client needs to be notified of and check the box next to it. 
  4. Click your white SEND button which is located just above your list of invoices. 
  5. A notification will appear asking you how you would like to send them. 
  6. Choose your method and click Send if you are sure you want to do this or cancel if otherwise.

Additional Information

Sending Multiple Invoices: If you want to send multiple invoices, simply click the check boxes next to your invoices then hit your white SEND button.

Sending your invoice by email: When you are prompted on "how would you like to send your invoices?" click on the checkbox under "Send by Email" to the right of your client's organization name.

Sending your invoice by post: When you are prompted on "how would you like to send your invoices?" click on the checkbox under "Send by Post" to the right of your client's organization name.

Remembering how your clients like to receive their invoices: When you are prompted on "how would you like to send your invoices?" ensure that the checkbox next to "Remember how my clients like to receive their invoices" is checked.

Invoice Status: The status of your invoice will be updated to the 'sent' status and then to 'viewed' status once the customer has seen it. See the "INVOICE STATUS LEGEND" at the bottom of your list of invoices page.

Automatic Notifications: If you want notifications to be sent automatically after a certain period of time, see the Automatic Notifications section.
